Polaroid Cameras
I dug my OLD polaroid 600 out of the time capsule that is my shed recently for a good friends farewell party my wife and I were hosting. Our idea was to have a big scrap book that friends and family could leave a message in or simply a piece of art/photograph. This is where the 'roid came in (unfortunate nickname) The instantaneous tangible image in your hand and in a book within 5 minutes of taking the picture was very cool!
The great thing about those cameras is the (expensive) film also acts as the battery. No need to worry about re-charging or changing lenses. Just point shoot smile and paste. NICE!
and the quality? The better the light obviously helps but I was suprised by how decent it was.

Re: Polaroid Cameras
I read a news article last week that said the last batch of Polaroid film that left the factory on the final production run has now expired, and that marked the end of Polaroid.

Re: Polaroid Cameras
Ahh - reminds me of the 5.25" floppy discs of yesteryear - no more manufacturing but there are people with massive caches all around the world. There must be someone with a room full of Polaroid stock they don't know what to do with - have you tried eBay?
