| Brisbane PhotoArt Gallery Photowalk 18th September |
|
|
Our member from Brisbane steve has very kindly agreed to be our go to guy for the photo walk day. So if you are in the Brisbane area and fancy a photographic walk around the city on Saturday September 4th, let us know here.
Here's what steve has planned
"For the Brisbane folk, I was thinking also a Saturday afternoon, we could start at the City Botanical Gardens, make our way across the Goodwill Bridge, possibly sunset on the bridge then on to Southbank, swing through the night markets then finish up at Greystone Bar on Little Stanley."

I've realised a small hiccup with that date.
Riverfire is on! Totally forgot about that until I got an email yesterday about it. |

Okay, so a photo walk is going to be impossible on this day in Brisbane, but it's still a popular event to photograph.
To be honest, it's something I avoid, the crowds do my head in. If there's enough interest still some people may be able to get together for it. Getting in early in the day for a good spot is probably best! That said, I don't know where a good spot is. A friend is organising a get together at the Captain Burke Park (Under the Story Bridge), so that's possibly a decent vantage point.
How is Saturday September 18 for a rescheduled walk?
I hope there's no weddings that day, Casey!

I'm interested but what time does it start and how long will it take? Time isn't what you think. It's not a strict progression of cause to effect... it's more like, a ball of wibbely wobbelly, timey wimey, stuff... it got away from me, yeah. |

Less than 2 weeks away, after the (albeit soggy) fun of Melbourne I can't wait to get Brisbane organised there are a few people interested so I'll work on getting some firm details together and we'll be away!
For all you wildlife fans join my group Wildies, more of a fauna friend? Become a member of Flower Lovers or perhaps you don't even like leaving the city well then Sydney Life is for you, I've got it all covered!

The 18th's school holiday time, so unfortunately/fortunately [delete as appropriate] I'll be making my way up to the Sunshine Coast, being asked every 5km or so whether we're there yet.
I'm going to make an effort to drag my carcass out of bed and take some sunrise shots this time. |

Darn! I'm sure I posted here this morning. Here goes again!
Sunset on the 18th is I think at 5:24pm, so meeting at the Albert Street gate to the Botanical Gardens at 4:30 gives plenty of time to explore the gardens and make it through to the Goodwill Bridge in time for sunset.
How long it goes for is really dependent on how long you want to hang around.
Now the problem on my end. My best friend recently gave birth, and on that weekend I'm going to be in Newcastle to meet (and photograph!) her new baby!
While I can't be there, looks like there's enough interest for it to go ahead.
It'll be easy to spot all the lost looking photographers hanging around the gate. :D |
