I'm a Nikon girl myself, but I think if your upgrading the 60 or 50 are a very safe bet.

What are you using at the moment?

450D, keeping with crop, and can't afford the 7D, plus heavier to lug around all day on walks.

Well that's the eternal question! If you want to move from entry level to more advanced this is probably the camera to take you there, with a better sensor and processor, a bigger range of controls from ISO to metering ranges I think you'll find it very interesting to see how far you can push your photography with a camera like this.
