That Lytro Camera!

By now everybody has heard about the camera that can focus even after the photo has been taken - 'shoot now focus later'.

Even though there is no dicussion of it's release yet, what the camera will look like or even if there is a physical prototype yet. We are still pretty excited at the massive move in capturing technology by this previously unknown company.

But how does it work? Well apparently the technology uses light field photography. Where as most camera sensors record light as it hits the sensor, saving each pixel as a color value. The new lyto sensor would capture color, intensity and direction of every light ray — like recording the information as a vector rather than a pixel, thanks to the assistance of an array of microlenses.

Because the camera captures the entire light field, there is no need to focus ahead of time. Which also make the camera a lot faster than conventional shooting and gives it the abilty to capture low light scenes more effectively.

That's good that people can receive the home loans and this opens new chances.
