Well G'day to another week!
A few updates....
Our comp is going gangbusters! Soo many images in there now, so many in fact that it's getting a little time consuming to scroll through such a magnitude of entries. There will be an advanced image search option brought in for the comp portal in phase 2 which is great news. Our techies are also onto making uploads quicker with no chance of crashes or timeouts! Woo hoo! Heaps of quality entries!!
There's an amazing up'ncoming exhibition at the ACP aka the Australian Centre of Photography 257 Oxford St Paddington. (next door to our Sydney office!)
It's called The Lake In this exhibition eight contemporary photomedia artists explore the exquisite strangeness of the Australian landscape.
It's on:
Friday 28 August to Saturday 10 October
Tue - Fri: 12.00 - 7.00pm, Sat & Sun 10.00am - 6.00pm Gallery 1&2
Here's a peek....
Speaking of Australian Landscapes... here's an interesting competition. Australian Explorer want your fave shots of Oz! You can win an adventure prize like hot air ballooning or rally driving, sailing etc. They use an overlapping multi-stage entry system enables Australian Explorer to constantly accept entries with the advantage of prizes being awarded every six months. Go here for all the juice.
and lastly curation. Heaps of new pics, heaps of new talent! Check out the collector and public galleries and see for yourself!
The curators critique group is definately getting more popular. For those not in the know, if you want a bit of one on one critique action with one of our curators, you can by joining the group here.
