Saachi in South Australia

London's famous Saatchi Gallery has been one of the most important features of the British modern art community for over two decades, and now it is taking a hoilday in Adelaide for it's first ever Australian exhibition.

The 'Saatchi Gallery in Adelaide: British Art Now' exhibit will be comprised of a massive 150 pieces from 42 artists (including the infamous Tracy Emin bed pictured) and will cover 3,000 square metres of the South Australian gallery.

Charles Saatchi handpicked this selection for Adelaide, to introduce British art right now.

"It encompasses paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculpture and installation work and has a new vocabulary about art right now.

"(Saatchi) has always worn his heart on his sleeve when it comes to selecting art, so it's his view of the world, but it's an incredibly interesting, curious view of the world.

"Being able to show Saatchi Gallery here in Australia is a great privilege and I think we'll excite the audience, not just in Adelaide, but across the country."
