Last week, at the CES trade show in Las Vegas, the new owners of the Polaroid brand PLR IP Holdings, along with its "creative director" Lady Gaga, finally unveiled it new Grey Label range. Three products were announced - a digital portable printer, a digital instant camera, and glasses fitted with a camera and two screens.

It seems that the Polaroid brand has no intention of living up to it's previous image and is getting rid of the classic instant film camera, whose mourned loss fueled the demand for this announcement. Instead they are heading down the digital route like many other companies before them.
They have also combined their sunglasses with an 'interesting' double screen instant capture idea, as modelled and inspired by lady gaga. In short the Polaroid brand may not suit the people who were craving the previous version, who may want to turn their yearning to The Impossible Projects doors. But teenage girls will be knocking down the doors of Polaroid to get their hands on their new Lady Gaga glasses.
