As you may know, Photo Art Gallery has contributed to charitable causes in the past, such as the Victoria Bushfires and St. Vincent’s Hospital. We love a good cause as much as we love photography, so of course we are thrilled when the two are combined.
The Rainforest Foundation UK is currently showing an exhibition of photographs at the Proud Gallery in Camden to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The People of the Forest exhibition showcases images from some of the Foundation’s projects, with the photos varying from portraits of the indigenous people to landscapes and nature.
The founding members of the foundation, Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, joined the celebrations on the opening night, and Sting performed a few songs for the crowd.
Each of the photos exhibited is available as a limited edition print, signed by Sting. All proceeds go to the Rainforest Foundation. You can view the online catalogue and purchase prints by registering at the Rainforest Foundation website.
Remember it’s for a good cause people!
And in case any of you are London locals, the exhibition is running until the 18th of October.
