The Head On Portrait Prize exhibition at the Australian Centre for Photography is coming into it's last week, so if you want to catch the winners work you'd better get your skates on!

Following its successful expansion in 2010 into a fully fledged photography festival, the Head On Photo Festival continues to be at the forefront of Australian portrait photography. Showcasing the work of emerging and established practitioners it demonstrates the stimulating diversity of new and traditional photographic practices in Australia today.
ACP is once again proud to host the eagerly anticipated Head On Portrait Prize. Now in its eighth year and with prizes valued at over $50,000, the award is a significant event in the national photography calendar. The competition continues to hold firm to a philosophy that focuses on the power of the image itself rather than the fame of the photographer or the celebrity of the subject. The Head On Portrait Prize exhibition sits at the heart of a city-wide festival that spans indoor and outdoor exhibitions, workshops, screenings, special events and a major seminar.
