Recently opened in the Australian Centre of Photography is an exhibition featuring the work of phtographer Gilbert Garcin. His work captured attention for its gentle humour inspired by the era of Charlie Chaplin and Jacques Tati and now can be seen in many public and private exhibitions around the world - including the ACP!

A former lamp maker by trade, Garcin did not begin his photographic career until after he retired in his sixties. Now he uses his minature black and white images to lure his viewers into a whimsically satirical world in which he and his wife are explores in a surreal world.

The exhibition is running as part of the Head On Photo Festival at the ACP until June 11 2011.
