Photojournalist Alixandra Fazzina was driving alongside the Swat River in Pakistan on the 28th of July when the waters suddenly began to rise. Her instincts soon kicked in as the water reached the one metre mark, she began to photograph the devestation as it unfolded in front of her eyes.
She was contacted by Oxfam, Wareraid and UNHCR for help documenting the disaster and intends to keep working there to show the ongoing impact on peoples lives.

Upon hearing that the Pakistan floods have now had a bigger impact on Human life than the Tsunami, recent Earthquakes and Bushfires all joined together...the Gallery has made a donation of support via UNICEF.
We can never look past that we are fortunate enough to be here, with our camera and websites, whilst millions of others are suffering as a result of this terrible natural disaster.
