Christies auction house is holding a large photographic auction that includes work from such names as David LaChapelle, Helmut Newton and the lesser known Alberto Korda who shot probably the most famous image in the lot.

The 1960's 'Che Guevara' has been reproduced on millions of posters, t-shirts and walls around the globe. The story of the image is an interesting one since Korda decided not to claim copyright or royalties on his work, and due to Cuba's laws the work is still in the public domain. The only claim Korda ever made was against Smirnoff over their comercial use of the image. He managed to claim $50,000 in court, which he immediately donated to the Cuban health care system.
The Christies auction is for a 1991 print, signed, titled and dated and is estimated at $10,000. So if you want to own a piece of photographic history check it out.
