I was born in Hertfordshire, England. Went to university in Sheffield and worked in the saltmines of the City of London until the age of 40. Then I holidayed in New Zealand with Kiwi friends and decided that this was the place for me. I was overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of the natural environment combined with the lively cosmopolitanism and compactness of Wellington. I emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand in 2000 and have never looked back.
